Call for Papers

The International Symposium on Atomic Level Characterizations for New Materials and Devices in Winter 2025 (ALC-W 2025) will be held at Shin Furano Prince Hotel in Furano, Hokkaido, Japan, on January 20-24, 2025.

This symposium is a continuation of the Symposium on Surface and Nano Science (SSNS). The ALC-W 2025 is held by the Division of Microbeam Analysis (MBA) of the Japan Society of Vacuum and Surface Science (JVSS), and supported by The Physical Society of Japan. This symposium will cover all the fields of surface and nano-science, some examples of which are given below:

• Epitaxial growth on surfaces
• Surface structures and surface electronic states
• Surface thermodynamics and kinetics
• Crystal shapes and sizes
• Adsorption and desorption
• Particle-surface interaction
• Application of surface science
• Nano structures

All participants will be accommodated at the Shin-Furano Prince Hotel. Therefore, registration and hotel reservation are inseparable.

We make your hotel reservation at our special rate, so you don't need to reserve a room during conference periods.

All participants are required to pay the registration fee, including invited speakers and accompanying persons, through the bank account below.

* 3 persons/room is a twin room with an extra bed.

• Includes: dinner, breakfast, tax, service charge, booklet, beverage during sessions, and attendance to sessions, as well as the accommodations for up to four nights (January 20, 21, 22, and 23). Please note that there is no reduction in the registration fee for participants with shorter stays.
• The organizer has reserved the rooms for participants only during conference periods. Therefore, if one needs a room before and after the period of the conference, one needs to book it oneself via the hotel web or a local travel agency, such as JTB or ANA Travel. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
